Iran to Open Int’l Nuclear Training Center

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – An international center for training in nuclear science will be inaugurated in Iran’s central city of Isfahan within the next two months, Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran Mohammad Eslami said.

In an address to the opening of the International Conference on Nuclear Science and Technology 2024 in Isfahan on Monday, Eslami said the nuclear training center will open in the city within the next two months at the most.

He said the international center will serve as an “influential hub” for training human forces to fulfill the purpose of promoting human resources in the nuclear industry.

He also expressed hope that the ongoing nuclear conference in Iran would help Tehran share its achievements with other countries in defiance of the hegemonic system’s attempts.

The AEOI chief noted that Iran welcomes the countries that are eager to invest in its nuclear industry.

Hailing Iran’s success in increasing the generation of nuclear power, Eslami said it has resulted in the elimination of 60 million tons of pollutants.

Eslami also reiterated that the cooperation between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency is in progress within the framework of the Safeguards.

The UN nuclear agency’s reports testify that Iran is subjected to 22 percent of all inspections the IAEA conducts across the world, which is unprecedented in history, Eslami added.

He expressed hope that the IAEA would play its professional role without coming under the influence of others.

On Monday, IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi arrived in Iran.

He is going to take part in the ongoing conference in Isfahan after meetings with a number of Iranian officials in Tehran.
