Tehran Keen to Bolster Ties with Riyadh: Amirabdollahian

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian stressed the country’s keenness to develop ties with Saudi Arabia.

Amirabdollahian and his Saudi counterpart Faisal bin Farhan held a telephone conversation during which they congratulated each other on Eid al-Fitr.

They also discussed the latest state of bilateral ties and regional developments.

Amirabdollahian pointed to the progress of bilateral relations between the two countries, stressing that Iran is determined to expand bilateral ties with Saudi Arabia as much as possible.

Faisal Bin Farhan also underlined the need to expand regional and international cooperation between the two countries.

Amirabdollahian and bin Farhan further spoke about the developments in Gaza and called for an end to the war crimes by the Zionist regime and the human suffering of the people of Gaza and the West Bank of Palestine, the Iranian Foreign Ministry’s website reported.

The foreign ministers of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Saudi Arabia also underscored the necessity of continued consultations between Tehran and Riyadh.
