Iran’s Mazandaran Exports over $318 Million of Goods in One Year

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – An official at the customs offices of Iran’s Mazandaran province announced the export of more than $318 million of good from the customs of this northern province in the previous Iranian calendar year (ended March 19, 2024), showing a 14% growth compared to a year earlier.

In this period, more than 1.506 million tons of non-oil goods, valued at $318.124 million, were exported from the customs offices of Mazandaran province, registering a 52 and a 14 percent growth in volume and value respectively compared to a year earlier, Amir Jamshidi added.

The director general of Noshahr Customs pointed to the export of 298 items of goods exported from the customs offices of this northern province and added that $116 million, $33 million, $35 million, $28 million and $19 million worth of dairy products, cement, plastic materials, citrus fruits and different types of edibles were exported from the customs offices of Mazandaran province respectively to 50 countries in the world, accounted for the 73 percent share of the total goods exported from the customs of this province, according to IRNA.

Iraq, Russia, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and Pakistan were the five main trade partners of Mazandaran province’s customs in this period, Jamshidi emphasized.

In this period, more than $140 million of non-oil goods were exported from the customs of Mazandaran province to neighboring Iraq, he added.
