Iran Ready to Export Technical-Engineering Services to Angola: Oil Minister

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s oil minister said the country is ready to export technical and engineering services to Angola.

Speaking in a meeting with Angolan Minister of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas Diamantino Pedro Azevedo in Algeria on the sidelines of the 7th meeting of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF), Javad Owji said Iran has high potential and capabilities in exporting the technical-engineering services abroad.

Owji pointed out that Iran is equipped with the technical know-how and knowledge and is the leading exporter of the catalysts applicable in the petrochemical complexes.

He added that Iran can export its expertise in the oil and gas fields to friendly countries, Mehr news agency reported. 

The Angolan oil minister, for his part, said his country attaches great importance to enhancing its relations with Iran in the oil and gas fields.

Azevedo emphasized the development of the steel and petrochemical industries in Angola and the increasing production of chemical fertilizers in this African country with the aim of spurring agricultural products.

Iran and Angola enjoy the capacity to develop close cooperation, especially in the oil, gas and petrochemical fields, he added.
