Over 200 mln Tons of Goods Stevedored at Iranian Ports in 11 Months: PMO

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO) said in its latest report that 214 million tons of goods were loaded and unloaded at Iranian ports in the 11 months of the current Iranian calendar year (started March 21, 2023).

The report added that more than 26 million tons of oil products were unloaded at ports affiliated with the Ports and Maritime Organization, from March 21, 2023, to February 22, 2024.

Over 46 million tons of non-oil goods were unloaded from the Iranian ports in the 11 months of the current Iranian calendar year, the organization added, according to Mehr news agency.

The PMO further pointed out that more than 72 million tons of oil- and non-oil products were totally unloaded at the Iranian ports from March 21, 2023, to February 22, 2024.

In this period, more than 74 million and 66 million tons of oil- and non-oil products were loaded at the country’s ports respectively.

Meanwhile, more than 2 million tons of goods were loaded and unloaded in the container section from March 21, 2023, to February 22, 2024, showing a three percent growth compared to the same period last year, the report added.
