Tehran, Minsk Weigh Plans to Boost Cooperation in Industrial Equipment Field

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Officials from Iran and Belarus emphasized enhancing bilateral cooperation in the field of industrial equipment and machinery.

At the initiative taken by the commercial attaché of the Iranian Embassy to Minsk and the Iran-Belarus chambers of commerce, representatives of Iran’s leading industrial companies in the field of industrial equipment and machinery held talks with their Belarusian counterparts in line with promoting bilateral cooperation.

A Business-to-Business (B2B) meeting was held via videoconference to introduce Iran’s export capacities in the field of knowledge-based industrial equipment.

Iran’s Ambassador to Belarus Alireza Sanei noted that the lack of familiarity of the economic activists of the two countries with the existing potentials and capacities is one of the main obstacles to the development of mutual trade and economic cooperation.

Iran and Belarus have high potentials to boost their ties in all fields, especially in the fields of trade and economy, he emphasized, BORNA news agency reported.

Such expert-level meetings with the participation of the representatives of large industrial and production companies can be effective steps toward getting more familiarity with the high potentials of the two countries, the envoy added.
