Iran, 10 West African Nations to Sign Contract Valued at $850 Million

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade said that Iran and 10 African countries will ink a contract valued at $850 million.

Seyed Reza Fatemi Amin made the remarks on the sidelines of a scientific and economic cooperation meeting between Iran and West African Countries dubbed “IRAN WAC”, held in Tehran on Monday and said that more than $1 billion worth of memorandum of understanding (MoU) will be inked in the field of export of cars, technical and engineering services.

The industry minister pointed to the country’s export of products to African countries and stated that Iran’s export of products to the African continent registered a 100 percent growth last year and this year, Iran’s exports to the African nations have recorded a 15 percent growth.

Fatemi Amin added that $850 million and over $1 billion worth of contract and memorandum of understanding (MoU) will be signed between Iran and 10 West African nations.

Today, one of the contracts is related to the export of cars, he said, adding that the two sides enjoy high capacity in the fields of construction of ships and boats, export of medical equipment, construction materials, oil and gas industries, agricultural machinery and also technical and engineering services.
